How you came to know about AUPP?
After my 12th, I was looking for options and I was introduced to AUPP through a family friend who already had enrolled at the time. I was in the first batch of AUPP (2005) and I have been here since 2006.
What are you doing right now?
I have been working in IBM for over 5 years now. I am a Scrum Master (team lead) and my specialty is senior test specialist. I work on a very high-profile federal government client.
Do you have PR?
I became Australian Citizen in 2015.
How was your experience regarding your part-time job while you were studying?
Juggling work (part time) and study was very challenging as I was aiming to earn enough to cover all my living expenses here. I also wanted to make sure my study was not affected by working too much so I was managing my studies by staying back at college or spending the weekend doing assignments etc.
How did you manage your accommodations?
One of the good things I found about joining AUPP and coming to Australia through AUPP was I wasn’t alone when I arrived here. Because I had studied one year in India, I already had a group of friends and we traveled together and decided to live together as well.
AUPP also arranged initial accommodation for us as well so we were never stressed about our living arrangements after we arrived here.
