How you came to know about AUPP?

After my 12th, I was looking for options and I was introduced to AUPP through a family friend who already had enrolled at the time. I was in the first batch of AUPP (2005) and I have been here since 2006.

What are you doing right now?

I have been working in IBM for over 5 years now. I am a Scrum Master (team lead) and my specialty is senior test specialist. I work on a very high-profile federal government client.

Do you have PR?

I became Australian Citizen in 2015.

How was your experience regarding your part-time job while you were studying?

Juggling work (part time) and study was very challenging as I was aiming to earn enough to cover all my living expenses here. I also wanted to make sure my study was not affected by working too much so I was managing my studies by staying back at college or spending the weekend doing assignments etc.

How did you manage your accommodations?

One of the good things I found about joining AUPP and coming to Australia through AUPP was I wasn’t alone when I arrived here. Because I had studied one year in India, I already had a group of friends and we traveled together and decided to live together as well.

AUPP also arranged initial accommodation for us as well so we were never stressed about our living arrangements after we arrived here.

How you came to know about AUPP?

I was a part of the very first batch of AUPP in 2006 from Ahmedabad. At that time AUPP organised a seminar in Bhavnagar, Gujarat. My maternal grandparents live in Bhavnagar. My uncle read the advertisement in the newspaper and asked my grandfather to check it out. Now I am from Ahmedabad and my grandfather informed about AUPP so we went to Ahmedabad office for the inquiry. After discussing with my parents I joined AUPP.

What achievement or award you have won during the course?

I won Golden Key Award during my Master’s degree. Golden Key is the world’s largest collegiate honor society. Membership into the Society is by invitation only and applies to the top 15% of college and university sophomores, juniors and seniors, as well as top-performing graduate students in all fields of study, based solely on their academic achievements.

Famous Golden Key honorary members include Bill Clinton, Desmond Tutu, and Elie Wiesel.

What are you doing right now?

I work at IBM as an Automation Test Specialist.

Do you have PR?

I have Australian Citizenship.

How was your experience regarding your part-time job while you were studying?

The experience was awesome. It was good to earn some money and cover expenses while studying. It gave me confidence. I got a chance to meet other people and to know their stories. It also taught me money management lessons.

How did you manage your accommodations?

For first six months accommodation was already booked & paid before I arrived in Australia. Once I learned how to search for the perfect house and apply for the rental properties I started sharing a house with my friends.
